ZHS Head Football Coach

Chad is currently in his 8th season as ZHS Head Football Coach and his 23rd year of coaching varsity football. Throughout his coaching career, he has a record of 70-20 with 5 state playoff appearances and has received several “Coach of the Year” honors. Most recently, he led the Blue Devils to a school history making 13-1 record that included a 10-0 season and a trip to the state Final Four. Chad is a former ZHS football player himself and was a two year letterman at Muskingum College.

He earned his Associates and Bachelors degrees from Ohio University, Masters Degree from Salem International University, and has also obtained licenses to be a Superintendent, Principal, and Curriculum Director. In addition to coaching football, Chad teaches special education at ZHS and has 5 year-old twins, Titan and Gianna.

Chad’s Dance Experience:
His previous dance experience includes ‘breakdancing’ on street corners on Larzalere and Luck Ave.

Fun Facts about Chad:
Chad spends his free time getting his high school players to the next level and making sure their experience as a Blue Devil is a great one. He also loves being a dad to Titan and Gianna!

Grant Hickman Foundation

The Grant Hickman Foundation, a component fund of the Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCFF), was established to honor the memory of Grant Hickman. The main goal of the foundation is to provide educational scholarships and financial support to the youth of Muskingum County and surrounding areas.
