Cedric Harris was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. Cedric graduated from Zanesville High School in 2008 where he was an outstanding athlete. Cedric graduated from West Liberty University. While at West Liberty he was a three time All American in Division 2 Basketball. Cedric is currently the Head Basketball Coach for the Zanesville High School Boys Basketball Team. Since his college graduation Cedric has been employed as a teacher and administrator for Zanesville City Schools. He is not only the Assistant Principal at Zanesville Middle School, but the Special Education Supervisor for grades 7-12 in the district as well. It is his experience as a teacher and administrator of Special Education Programs that led to his choice to support the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
Cedric is married to Kaleigh Spragg Harris who is also a dedicated Special Education teacher. They have two wonderful sons, Cruz and Caz Harris. Cedric has no previous dance experience. Fun Fact: Cedric was 6 years old when he first met his Diva dance partner. His sister and Debi’s daughter played basketball together and against each other. The Harris and Grubb families, along with their teammates, traveled to Orlando, Florida in 1997 to compete in the Gus Macker All World Basketball Championships. The trip ended with a fun group trip to Disney World!
The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities, OCECD.org, is a statewide non-profit organization that serves families of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities in Ohio, educators and agencies who provide services to them.
